Which type of cardboard fits your product?

The choice of the right cardboard determines how well your product is protected, presented, and transported. We advise you on the best material for your application.

Single wall corrugated cardboard

One fluted layer between two flat layers. Light, cost-efficient, and suitable for most products up to 15 kg. The standard for shipping boxes and retail packaging.

Double wall corrugated cardboard

Two fluted layers for extra strength. Suitable for heavier products, stacked storage, and long transport distances. Widely used in industry and for pallet boxes.

Solid board

Solid cardboard sheet without a flute structure. The strongest option, often used in telescopic boxes and Fresh produce packaging where moisture resistance is essential.

Folding boxboard

Thinner cardboard for sleeves, covers, and light packaging. Excellent printability and often used in the food sector.

Honeycomb cardboard

Light yet sturdy due to the honeycomb structure. Often used as reinforcement or void fill material in displays and packaging.

In addition, we distinguish between testliner (recycled cardboard) and kraftliner (virgin cardboard). The latter is often used for colder applications because it is less permeable to moisture and therefore stronger.

Custom printing and finishing

Your packaging is the first thing your customer sees. The right printing and finishing make the difference between a box and a brand experience.

Digital printing

Ideal for small runs with a high-quality result. No setup costs for printing plates, making it profitable even for 50 or 100 boxes. Full colour is possible.

Offset printing

The most commonly used technique for branded products. Delivers the sharpest image with high contrast, depth, and colour consistency. Ideal for medium to large runs.

Flexographic printing

Cost-efficient for large volumes. Slightly less sharp than offset, but excellent for large-scale industrial and semi-industrial applications.

Screen printing

Delivers intense, UV-resistant colours. Particularly suitable for smaller runs where colour fastness and ink durability are essential.

Finishing options:

Single wall corrugated cardboard has one fluted layer and is suitable for most products up to 15 kg. Double wall corrugated cardboard has two fluted layers and offers extra strength for heavier products or long transport distances. We are happy to advise you on which type fits your product.
With digital printing, printing is possible from small quantities (50-100 units) without setup costs for printing plates. For larger runs, offset and flexo are more economical. We help you choose the most cost-efficient technique.
We do that together with you. Based on your product dimensions, weight, and the way it needs to be packed, we calculate the optimal box size. You will receive test boxes to evaluate this before production starts.
A die-cut template is the cutting tool used to cut your box from a cardboard sheet. It is a one-time investment that we develop for you. You will receive a technical drawing with cut lines and dimensions that your designer can use for the artwork.
An American box is the most commonly used box type: a rectangular box with four flaps that are folded shut. A shipping box is a broader term and also includes other formats such as mailbox boxes, e-commerce boxes, and postal boxes — specifically designed for shipping by post or courier.
Die-cut templates last for years with normal use. As long as you continue to use the same box size, you do not need to have the template remade. It is a one-time investment.
