Cardboard sleeves: lightweight packaging for food and retail

Your brand visible on the product without replacing the entire packaging. Sleeves are lightweight, printable, and easy to change for a rebranding, campaign, or seasonal edition.

Replacing fully printed packaging is expensive. A sleeve is not.

Your product has good primary packaging: a jar, a tin, a bottle, or a simple tray. But that primary packaging has no room for your brand, your campaign message, or your seasonal edition.

The two options most companies know: either have the primary packaging completely reprinted (expensive and time-consuming) or ship the product without brand identity.

A sleeve is the solution: faster, cheaper, and easier to adjust.

What are cardboard sleeves?

A sleeve is a narrow cardboard band or wrap that is slid over a product. The sleeve holds the product together or gives it a brand appearance without replacing the entire packaging. Think of the paper band around a set of coffee cups, the wrap around a bottle, or the cover on a box, for example for cosmetics or medicine boxes.

Sleeves are made of solid board: a thinner cardboard without a corrugated structure. Solid board is rigid yet lightweight, excellently printable, and available in various thicknesses depending on the application.

Material & printing

Thickness

Available from light (approx. 180 g/m²) to heavy (approx. 450 g/m²). We advise on the correct thickness based on the use and the weight of the product.

Printing

Sleeves are excellently printable. Full-color offset printing provides the sharpest result for retail products. Digital is more cost-efficient for large volumes.

Finishing

Varnish, laminate, matte or glossy, spot varnish for accents, foil stamping. You determine how luxurious the sleeve looks.

Yes, that is a common application. The primary packaging protects the product, while the sleeve gives the brand a face. This way, you don’t have to completely reprint the primary packaging for every campaign change.
