What are pallet boxes?

Pallet boxes are large-format boxes designed to fit on a pallet or serve as a container for bulk products. They are widely used in industry, the chemical sector, retail, and the fresh produce sector, and wherever large quantities of a single product are moved or stored at once.

The construction is more robust than a standard shipping box: standard in kraftliner corrugated cardboard (BC flute), wide enough for stacking and forklift transport without collapsing or deforming.

When are pallet boxes the right choice?

Heavy products

Products over 15 kg require a box with extra load-bearing capacity. Double-wall corrugated or solid board handles the weight and warehouse stacking without any issues.

Bulk storage and transport

Pallet boxes are used as containers for multiple products at once or for bulk goods such as granules, powder, or fresh produce.

Distribution

Corrugated cardboard (kraftliner BC flute)

The standard for most pallet boxes. Two fluting layers for extra load-bearing capacity, stacking strength, and shock absorption during transport.

Double or triple-flute corrugated cardboard

Maximum strength and moisture resistance, popular in the fresh produce sector and for heavy or humid environments.

Loading flap (optional)

Pallet boxes are available with a side loading flap. This allows you to fill the box without having to load it from the top, which is useful for heavy or bulky products that are difficult to place from above.

What is the maximum weight a pallet box can handle?

This depends on the cardboard type, construction, and stacking height. Double-wall corrugated cardboard typically carries up to 20 to 30 kg per box. Provide us with the weight of your product, and we will advise on the correct specifications.

Can pallet boxes be stacked?

Yes, pallet boxes are designed to be stacked. The load-bearing capacity varies by construction. We calculate the correct stacking strength based on your product and weight.

Can pallet boxes also be printed?

Yes, printing is possible. For industrial use, a simple flexo print with item details or a company logo is sufficient. If you want a more premium look, other printing techniques are also available.
