Sturdy cardboard boxes for the transport of fruit over longer distances. Available in double-wall corrugated cardboard (EB-flute), with or without ventilation holes, and optional extra PE coating on the inside and outside for moist products. A sustainable alternative to wooden crates.

Accessories for your boxes

In addition to boxes, we also supply the accessories that complete your packaging line:

Paper packing sheets

Tissue paper and packing sheets to protect fruit and vegetables against pressure and abrasion

Crate cards

Cardboard inserts for crates and boxes to separate and protect products

Other

Lids, edge protectors, and sleeve-tray combinations for specific packaging needs. Ask our packaging advisors about the possibilities.

Cardboard resistant to moisture, cold, and weight

Fresh produce packaging is subject to heavier loads than standard boxes. Cold stores, condensation, wet products, stacked pallets — the material must be able to handle it. We always advise on the type of cardboard that best suits your product and conditions.

Solid board

Solid cardboard sheet without a corrugated structure. The standard for fresh produce trays: rigid, compact, and excellent for printing. Available with moisture-resistant coating for use in refrigerated environments.

Corrugated cardboard with moisture-resistant coating

Single or double-wall corrugated cardboard with a special treatment that slows down moisture absorption. Used for cardboard fruit boxes deployed in humid environments or refrigerated rooms.

Double-wall corrugated cardboard (BC or EB-flute)

Two corrugated layers for maximum stacking strength. Essential for heavy products such as potatoes or root crops stacked on pallets.

Did you know?

Cardboard is better for fresh products

Fruit and vegetables in high-quality cardboard stay fresh for an average of 3 days longer than in plastic packaging (source: University of Bologna). Cardboard regulates moisture better, reduces the risk of microbiological contamination, and lowers food waste. A sustainable choice that also pays off commercially.

Sustainable and fully recyclable cardboard is the norm

All our cardboard is recyclable and available with FSC certification. Cardboard fresh produce packaging is a more sustainable alternative to wooden crates and plastic trays and is increasingly requested by retailers.

Printing on your fresh produce packaging

A printed tray or fruit box does more than just protect. In the shop and at the market, the packaging is your brand carrier — visible to the end consumer at the moment of purchase.

Flexographic printing

The most commonly used printing technique for fresh produce packaging in large volumes. Cost-efficient, suitable for moisture-resistant cardboard, and fast to produce.

Offset printing

For sharper images and more intense colors in medium-sized runs. Ideal for premium fresh produce brands that want to stand out on the shelf with their packaging.

Digital printing

For smaller runs or seasonal variants without plate costs. Quickly realized for changing designs or promotional packaging.

Finishing options:

Moisture-resistant lacquers and varnishes that protect the printing in refrigerated environments. Available in matte or gloss.
