The solution: Shelf Ready Packaging

Shelf Ready Packaging (SRP) combines transport packaging and display packaging into a single solution. Your products are packed into the SRP box at the factory, transported to the distribution center, and then to the store. In the store, the box is placed onto the shelf as a whole. The front folds open or is removed, and the products are immediately visible and ready to be picked.

The result: reduced labor time for store staff, fewer damaged products, and a more consistent shelf display.

Which type of SRP suits you?

Bottom lid new

Tray with hood (tray & lid)

A base (tray) with a removable lid. The tray remains on the shelf when the lid is removed. Products are visible and ready to be picked. Widely used for cans, jars, bottles, and preserves.

Tray with perforation (tear-away front)

A box with a perforation line along the front. Store staff tear off the front, and the tray remains. More cost-effective than a tray-and-hood solution, ideal for standard shelf products.

Die-cut display tray

A lower tray with die-cut sides for maximum product visibility on the shelf. Popular for snacks, chocolate, and other impulse purchases.

Fully glued SRP box

A closed box that is fully carded and opened in-store along a perforation line. Provides more protection during transport, but less visibility on the shelf.

An SRP box serves as both transport packaging and display packaging. A regular display box is manufactured separately for use at the point of sale. SRP combines both functions, thereby saving an entire packaging step.
Yes. SRP boxes are made entirely of cardboard and are 100% recyclable. By combining transport and display packaging, you also reduce total material consumption per unit.
Yes, and it is highly recommended. The SRP box sits on the shelf: it is a brand carrier. Full-color offset printing provides the best results for retail environments.
A new SRP box, including the die-cut template and sample, is typically ready within 4-5 weeks after approval of the die-cut template & BAT (design file). We provide test samples for approval before production begins.
